Hamilton Driver Training is an Edinburgh based family run driving school established since 1996 providing driving instruction covering the areas of Bathgate, Livingston, South Queensferry, Kirkliston, Newbridge, and Ratho in the West and all areas of Edinburgh. We also have driving instructors covering Midlothian i.e. Bonnyrigg, Dalkeith, Gorebridge, Penicuik, and to the East of Edinburgh - Musselburgh, Prestonpans, Tranent, North Berwick, Haddington, Dunbar and surrounding areas.
Our fully trained male and female driving instructors proudly provide all types of driving instruction and train pupils with either no experience or some previous experience to learn to drive. Nervous pupils most welcome!
In a hurry to pass your test? Why not consider one of our intensive or semi intensive courses. Intensive and semi intensive driving courses are ideal for anyone wishing to learn to drive over a short period and the length of each course varies from 1 to 10 weeks.
We also provide refresher driving lessons for those wishing to boost their driving abilites or gain confidence post test. Do you want to feel confident drivng on motorways? Try our 2 hour motorway lessons.
Having passed your L test, Pass Plus courses provide additional training in areas not covered during normal L lessons. Pass Plus courses are a minimum of 6 hours and do not involve a test at the end. Pass Plus can reduce insurance premiums. Our Pass Plus courses are available to current and past pupils as well as new pupils.
Advanced/defensive driver training and all forms of ADI instructor training, whether it be a full course or supplementary training to prepare for the practical examinations including ADI Check Test Preparation are also provided.
To maintain professional standards our driving school instructors follow the Driving Standards Agency's ADI code of practice and are expected to undertake continual professional development training to ensure they maintain high standards of teaching ability.

For your safety our cars have reflective sign writing to make them more visible and are fully equipped with first aid kits, fire extinguishers and high visibility jackets.
One to one personal driving instruction is given to all our pupils and training is also given to prepare you for the theory test and 'Show Me, Tell Me' section of your practical driving test.
